(If you want to watch the episode without downloading it, the link is at the end of the post)

Sara is doing the opening monologue and she updates us on a lot of the characters: Paco and Lola are very happy, Mariano is back to normal, Aitor is pining for Carlota, Pove is doting on Sabinica, Montoya has finished rehab, and she's started police training.

The episode opens with the newbies at the shooting gallery. DL, who happens to be there, does an impromptu Q&A then displays his Pepa-like target shooting precision. Sara gets to shoot and she does relatively okay, to the chagrin of Paco who's watching the excited recruits. Paco asks Curtis for a favor to bring Sarita into one of their ops and try to dissuade her from her police ambitions. Aitor and Carlota are on their way to coupledom.

At the comisaria, DL is giving the briefing on the El Kaiser case.
Lucas: I know nothing! I know absolutely nothing! I’ve been an infiltrator for six months and I still know nothing! Salazar does not trust me! He hasn’t even taken me to the truck again! Nothing! I’m the fucking delivery boy!! Nothing else.
Paco: Calm down, fuck, Lucas. Maybe in between deliveries some information slips out…
Lucas: What fucking information!! Let’s see… This morning I had to take a box to a square. What fucking information am I supposed to get from that, bollocks!!
Paco: Calm down, dude.
Aitor: Why don’t we go and arrest them already?
Lucas: Exactly!
Aitor: Fuck, Salazar killed a man and broke out of prison. Do we have enough reasons to prosecute him? [Translator's note: “empapelar” is a colloquial expression meaning to prosecute/arrest. It literally means “to fill with papers” or “to wrap”]

Don Lorenzo: We have to wait, for the time being.
Lucas: [getting really worked up] Wait? Wait for what? For what? For the moment I get shot when they find out I’m a cop? Or for the moment I have to shoot a colleague?
Mariano: Lucas is right, Don Lorenzo, what the hell are we waiting for? There is no messing with that people [Translator's note: The literal phrase in Spanish is “they don’t walk about with little ladies” – I always found that hilarious as hell!] They shoot you first and ask questions later.
Silvia: It’s an unnecessary risk. We have to end this now!!
Aitor: Listen to me, Don Lorenzo, can you not see it? Can you not see that they are laughing at our fucking faces?
Don Lorenzo: Let’s see, how the hell [Translator's note: Literally, cojones] the intern tells the Captain how to run a precinct? Sit down. Well, gentlemen, listen to me. Salazar is not our objective.
Lucas: How?
Mariano: What?

Don Lorenzo: He is not the one in charge. There’s another name, some Kaiser person. The Interpol has been after him for over 5 years. They think he’s about to manage to produce fake Euros impossible to detect. (Piper's sarcasm: Impossible to detect?  Not unless they take control of the mint!  Either that or the EU needs to improve the quality of its currency!  So "impossible to detect" is simply an impossible proposition)
Lucas: You knew about that?
Paco: Me? No… I…
Don Lorenzo: If the Kaiser manages to produce this sort of Euro notes and puts billions of fake Euros in the market (Piper's snark: And how would they do that without tipping suspicions?) do you know what that would mean? There would be too much money, prices would sky rocket, and the Euro would lose all its value. All stock markets would sink, people would not be able to buy a bread stick for less than 50 Euros, shops would close down, one by one. There would be general riots, demonstrations, half of the European governments would fall, people would not be able to eat, the chaos would be unleashed [Translator's comment: It paints quite a picture and it’s not too far from reality! Tsk!] That’s why we can’t arrest them now, Salazar is not our objective. Our objective is to keep an eye on the Kaiser. The IT unit has already prepared the virus…
Povedilla: [picking up the phone] I’m not available [Translator's reaction: literally “I can’t right now”], I’m on a meeting.

Don Lorenzo: The virus has a mechanism that only gets activated when is run twice, understood? When they contact Povedilla…
Povedilla: Fuck, fuck, fuck, they called me…
Don Lorenzo: What the cojones is wrong with you, Povedilla?
Povedilla: It’s… I think… I think they have contacted me, Don Lorenzo.
Don Lorenzo: When did they contact you?
Povedilla: Right now.
Don Lorenzo: And what did they say?
Povedilla: I don’t know cause I hung up on him [Translator's reaction: huahuahuahuahua!!!]
Paco: How the cojones did you hung up, Povedilla?
Povedilla: Well, because the Captain was speaking and he was giving an important explanation and I was not just gonna start talking with… [phone rings]. Unknown number, calling…
Paco:  Pick up, pick up!!
Povedilla: Can I not speak privately? Maybe they hear the background precinct mumble…
Don Lorenzo: Shuuuut uuuup!!! Cojones!!! Pick up, Povedilla.

Povedilla: Hi, good morning, the super hacker speaking.
Kaiser: Do you have the virus?
Povedilla: Of course, of course I have it, and I have it perfect.
Kaiser: Plaza Dos de Mayo, one PM. You’ll receive further instructions.
Lucas: What, for fuck’s sake, what?
Povedilla: They said Plaza Dos de Mayo. One PM.
Don Lorenzo: Paco, Paco… We need to organize the mission. Mariano […]
Lucas: Excuse me, excuse me, Don Lorenzo. The box I delivered this morning… I delivered it to Plaza Dos de Mayo.
Don Lorenzo: What was in the box?
Lucas: I have no fucking clue.
Mariano: Fuck’s sake, man!

A little side note: Plaza Dos de Mayo is in the Fuencarral district in Madrid, not too far from where MA lives / used to live.

Povedilla shows up at the appointed time and place while Paco and Mariano, undercover as street cleaners, shadow him.  El Kaiser calls Pove, tells him to pick up a box in a corner of the square, and directs him to wear whatever is inside.  It's a dinosaur with a big red tongue costume, which looks surprisingly like my dog's Halloween costume from 2 years ago. Pove puts it on. Dumb and Dumber are in the surveillance van watching and laughing their asses off.

At Cachis, Lola is deep in reverie thinking about the newest cop wannabe in her life.
Julián: Good morning, Lola. Where do you want me to leave this?
Lola: Over there, Julián.
Julían: I brought you sobrasada ibérica [Translator's tip: It’s some sort of paté – too difficult to explain. Since it’s Ibérica I guess it contains ham]. Really mouth-watering [Translator's pervy note: Expression in Spanish means literally “to lick your fingers afterwards”… think whatever you please HAHA].
Lola: Thanks, see you later.

Silvia: Hi!... Attention, please, all units – a Castro with problems behind the bar. What’s the matter, little sister?
Lola: Everything’s the matter, Silvia. The matter is that I can’t take Sara off my head. She’s a nutter and when she starts patrolling the streets she’s gonna be on the front line and without a vest.
Silvia: Lola, but it’s what she decided, isn’t it? What do you want?
Lola: Well, I want to sleep at night, you know? Sara is cut from the same cloth as Lucas, but she is not Lucas, Silvia.

Sara gallops into Cachis holding her target sheet to show off to her mother.
Sara: So, do I have a good aim or what? What do you think?
Lola: Well, very bad! Let’s see, where do you have to aim to? To vital organs: head, chest and heart. But, what do they teach you in the police academy?
Sara: You are right, sir. It won’t happen again, sir. Next time, they won’t escape alive, sir.
Silvia: Try to talk to her. You can’t just be fake-laughing all day and encouraging her. If you don’t want her to be a policewoman, tell her.

Rest of the episode: Pove changes into the dinousaur with big red tongue costume while Quique and Curtis are laughing like dumb 12-year olds.  And then a whole crowd of people wearing the same outfit spill into the square and they lose Pove, who is met and led away by Filet Mignon.  Paco leaves Pepa a voice mail.

Sara is still trying to rebound from Lucas by flirting again with Aitor, but for once, he's smart and says that they should just start again as friends because he's now in like with Carlota. Montoya shows DL the file of Julio Olmedo who was an associate of Salazar.  Dumb and Dumber bring Sara into the surveillance van (per Paco's request), and they then leave her alone. ALONE!!!??  She sees a shadow and acts on her police instinct and draws a gun - at her MOTHER???!! Lola brings her some Burger King.  Sweet mother-daughter talk.  When Dumb and Dumber come back, they tell Sara horror stories of their surveillance missions, hoping to discourage her from pursuing a career in the force.  Knowing these two, we can probably safely assume that there are more horror stories than good ones. When the horror storytelling tactic doesn't work, they go to the lab and make Sara work on a corpse.  After initial hesitation, Sara's cop DNA kicks in and she starts flirting with the corpse. (Piper's sarcasm: How can anyone just go into the lab and dissect the cadaver without Silvia's permission?)

Allison Morris calls Lucas to meet up.  Paco and Mariano, as his backups, trail him on his way to the rendezvouz place, so he requests the last sacrament to prepare to meet his Maker.  Not really, but I would if I were he since my probability of ending up dead is pretty high when Paco and Mariano are involved. Salazar and company meet up with Lucas and they ride on fully blinged Kaiser lorry where they ask Pove to deploy the virus.  And then Allison's phone rings, she looks and tells Salazar "It's El Kaiser", dials a number, gives it to Salazar who talks to El Kaiser (!?) who instructs them to kill Pove as soon as the virus is uploaded.  Piper's confused: How can Allison be El Kaiser when she's right there while Salazar talks to the Boss?  Doesn't make sense!  In this episode, the speculation (from the Spanish board) that Pepa was El Kaiser seems to make sense.

Paco calls for backup and the worst backup group in the history of backup groups answers the call: Quique, Curtis, Aitor, Sara, and Rita. While waiting for directives from Paco, they manage to smoke themselves out of the surveillance van because Curtis accidentally pulls the pin from one of the smoke bombs.  Filet Mignon is about to shoot Pove on the head when they notice Paco's backup team scurrying to get out out of their vehicle.  Shootout ensues.  Lucas shoots Dumb and Dumber but aims for their bullet proof vests, and the Kaiser gang manages to escape.  Suffering from smoke inhalation of their own making, the Pacos go back to the comisaria with their tails between their legs.  Paco takes the brunt for the failed mission.  I would have fired Curtis (and his 'do) right there and then.

Lucas is tasked by Allison to kill Pove, so he counts to ten while Pove runs before he shoots him.  Allison wants to make sure Pove is dead and is about to pump more bullets into his skull when Lucas kisses her guerilla-style so she can be a lover and not a fighter.  At the precinct, Sara is doing the ending monologue and I don't really care what the fuck she's saying but it seems she's going to stick it out and become a cop.

Watch clip in HD

Piper's commentary:
If you ever have any doubt about how bad this show really is, search no further - this one ranks high up there. Its lame attempts at humor were simply pathetic, infuriating, and plain stupid (e.g., Curtis pulling the pin on the smoke grenade by mistake, Quique pretending to be a corpse to scare Sara.  Pove the one funny exception).  The El Kaiser threat to the economy is just so far-fetched and unrealistic.  How can a gang operating out of a tricked out truck while producing fake Euros wreck havoc on a macro scale? It is just not possible.  Market forces and economic laws are self-correcting and will not permit fake currencies to throw it off-balance.  Sure, there would be repercussions, probably a slight inflation, but definitely not to the point of widespread riots and unstable trading markets!  Case in point: how can you move large amounts of fake currencies without tipping anyone?  You cannot even launder those fake currencies because banks authenticate all hard currencies coming in.  Heck, even real money acquired illegally are not easily laundered! I know that TV shows claim artistic liberty, but this one was simply dumb.

The bumbling cop routine is not funny anymore - not when lives are at stake. And the biggest travesty of all: SILVIA ONLY HAS FOUR LINES! Fuck you, Alex Tiny Penis Pina!!!

"We've Come a Long, Long Way Together"

Don Lorenzo. Merely mentioning the name of San Antonio's comisario can send a chill down the hombres' backs. It can cause Paco to reach for his trusty handkerchief, Mariano's eyes to pop out and his jaw to drop, and Pove to stutter like a frightened little boy. Don Lorenzo is a man with a strong character, "a man that likes order." He lives by a strict code of moral and ethics and because of this it usually doesn't take much to offend him or his santos cojones.

Pepa doesn't really have a code - she lives life as it happens - so it's not surprising that Don Lorenzo wasn't very pleased when she showed up in San Antonio. At the Miranda-Castro family dinner to celebrate Pepa's return, all Don Lorenzo could see was the girl who came to her niece's first communion dressed inappropriately. The girl who "tricked" Silvia into smoking weed and later made out with his precious hija. The girl who caused her parents' divorce and didn't care enough to attend her father's funeral. The girl who just wasn't "normal."

Pepa's presence in San Antonio really unsettled Don Lorenzo, and perhaps the reason why they butted heads so often is that they are alike in many ways. Don Lorenzo's temper is legendary - he isn't afraid to "say things to people's faces." Pepa's the same way. When Don Lorenzo gave her a bogus assignment, Pepa wasn't afraid to ask him, in front of the entire precinct, if he was trying to "fuck (her) over." Don Lorenzo is also known to be very loyal to his men, and Pepa surprised in him Ep. 67 when she turned in her badge in support of Paco, Mariano and him. Her act of solidarity is the first time you can see him view Pepa in a different light - someone more than the "despotenciada" he thinks she is.

Of course, Pepa turning in her badge wasn't going to change Don Lorenzo's opinion of her overnight. His disdain for Pepa was strong, so strong that he seriously believed she was trying to seduce Sara, her own niece! And while he was probably relieved that this wasn't the case, he certainly wasn't thrilled when he found out that Silvia had feelings for Pepa. He went through an array of emotions (which Angie covered brilliantly in a previous lecture) before he accepted the fact that Silvia was truly in love with Pepa and that Pepa made Silvia happy. So when Don Lorenzo confronted them in the countryside in Ep. 76 and wished them the best, you knew it was genuine and a turning point in his relationship with Pepa.

Don't get me wrong. Don Lorenzo still thought Pepa was a "despotenciada," but knowing that she loved Silvia more than life itself changed the way he interacted with her. When Pepa filed mobbing charges against Silvia, he saw the situation for what it really was: Pepa's attempt to use "legal channels to solve a personal problem." But he wasn't mad at Pepa for trying to get back together with Silvia; he was mad that she was using the precinct's time and resources to do it. And in Ep. 98 when Pepa arrives at Los Cachis to help him find Aitor, they share a glance similar to the one in Ep. 67. But this time Don Lorenzo's expression isn't one of surprise at her display of loyalty and support - it's one of pride and respect.

Ep. 100 is one of the strongest signs of how far Don Lorenzo and Pepa have come in their relationship. He scares everyone when he seems upset at the idea that Pepa and Silvia are engaged before he takes their hands and joins them together, where they belong. Later, when Pepa has her gun pointed at "Jota's" head, he gets her to lower her gun by placing his hand gently on her arm and calling her "Pepa." To me, this is a huge step in their relationship, because up until that point Don Lorenzo usually called her "Miranda." The use of her nickname shows that he truly accepted Pepa, not only as Silvia's girlfriend, but as her fiancé, the person Silvia chose to spend the rest of her life with - his future daughter-in-law.

I don't think Don Lorenzo and Pepa would have made it through Ep. 104 if their relationship hadn't improved. When Pepa went into shock, she needed Don Lorenzo to remind her that "you're her girl and I'm her dad." They needed to trust each other and work together in order to save Silvia's life. They needed to give each other hope as Silvia got weaker by the second. And they needed each other the most in that fateful moment when they both realized that Silvia was going to die and they couldn't do anything else to save her.

Pepa and Don Lorenzo have come a long, long way together since Pepa's return to San Antonio. Their relationship evolved from one of disdain for a relative by marriage to one of a father and daughter who love and respect each other. They've been through hard times and good times together, and in S9 their relationship will be critical in helping each other deal with Silvia's death. As difficult as that will be, the point is that they've built a relationship that allows them to lean on each other, and for that I have to praise them both for how far they've come.

BMF'S FOOD COLUMN!

Ho ho ho, Christmas is upon us which can only mean one thing…. TURKEY! I think not. I have a serious hatred for turkey and all things turkey related. I can hear you all shouting abuse at me , but listen to my reasoning first OK? Turkeys are so god dam cute for a start, I love the way they gobble and also, my little brother was mounted by a horny turkey which just makes me love them even more! A turkey tastes like a watered down chicken gone wrong and WHY OH WHY would anyone eat turkey when you could eat a BEEF WELLINGTON! That is why I will be providing alternative recipes for that all important Christmas lunch. This recipe is also dedicated to a very special lady, the universities founder and leader Dr.Pied Piper (don't get mad but I am changing the recipe as I have provided alternatives at the bottom!)

Ingredients

A seriously good, well hung 1kg Piece of beef fillet( Aberdeen Angus is dam tasty but a personal favourite of mine is Kobe, mainly because the cows have so much fun being massaged before they die)
3 tbsp olive oil
250g chestnut and wild mushrooms
50g butter
1 large sprig fresh thyme
100ml dry white wine (PM, refrain from drinking it all before it goes in to the recipe!)
12 slices prosciutto
500g pack puff pastry ( There is NO shame in buying it these days! I mean, seriously, have you tried making your own?? It takes days!!)
A little flour, for dusting
2 egg yolks( need I say, they must be free range? No didn't think so!)

Method, also known as the SILVIA way.

S
et the oven to 220C/fan 200C/gas 7. Sit the beef on a roasting tray, brush (I like to massage the oil in with my hands because I love the feel of a nice, soft, well rounded….) with 1 tbsp olive oil and season with pepper, then roast for 15 mins for medium-rare or 20 mins for medium( NO ONE SHOULD EAT BEEF MEDIUM,DAM IT ALWAYS RARE!!). When the beef is cooked to your liking, remove from the oven to cool, then chill in the fridge for about 20 mins.
Instead of twiddling your thumbs while the beef cools, I suggest you begin chopping the mushrooms as finely as possible so they have the texture of coarse breadcrumbs. You can use a food processor to do this, but make sure you pulse-chop the mushrooms so they don't become a slurry.
Let 2 tbsp of the oil and the butter heat up in a large pan and fry the mushrooms on a medium heat, with the thyme sprig, for about 10 mins stirring often, until you have a softened mixture. Season the mushroom mixture, pour over the wine and cook for about 10 mins until all the wine has been absorbed.
Very often, the mixture is still too wet( Yes I get the dirty innuendo, Booker don't get too excited!) after this amount of time so keep evaporating until it holds its shape when stirred. Remove the mushroom duxelle from the pan to cool and discard the thyme. Overlap two pieces of cling film over a large chopping board. Lay the prosciutto on the cling film, slightly overlapping, in a double row. Spread half the duxelles over the prosciutto, then sit the fillet on it and spread the remaining duxelles over. Use the cling film's edges to draw the prosciutto around the fillet, then roll it into a sausage shape, twisting the ends of cling film to tighten it as you go. Chill the fillet while you roll out the pastry.
If you really can't be bothered to measure the pastry with a ruler like me, then just role out a huge square of pastry and whack the beef in the middle, minus the cling film!
Apparently, this is considered the fun part of the dish, where you wrap the beef up like a christmas present. I personally think eating it is funner!Glaze all over with egg yolk and, using the back of a knife, mark the beef Wellington with long diagonal lines taking care not to cut into the pastry. Chill for at least 30 mins and up to 24 hrs. Heat oven to 200C/fan 180C/gas 6. Brush the Wellington with a little more egg yolk and cook until golden and crisp - 20-25 mins for medium-rare beef, 30 mins for medium( don't bother cooking this dish if you have your beef medium!). Allow to stand for 10 mins before serving in thick slices.

Now Dr.Piper and I have had many discussions about beef wellingtons and as alternative fillings, we suggest using blue cheese or liver spread although blue cheese is a winner in my books!

(If you want to watch the episode without downloading it, the link is at the end of the post)

This is the last of Silvia's pink shirt trilogy.  Lucas is still lying somewhere with an iron rod stuck in his chest, but he's alive because Sara's dream saved him.  Whatever.  At the station, everyone is gathered around the main floor, just waiting: for any news about Pove and Lucas, and for the verdict on DL.  Rita is carrying Sabinica and still very pissed at Dumb and Dumber (Quique and Curtis) for letting gypsy woman breast feed Sabinica.  Silvia is still running around.

Silvia: Have you seen Gonzalo?
Curtis: Yes, he just went that way.
Rita: Silvia, just a second. That woman over there [referring to gypsy woman], she looks healthy, doesn’t she? You don’t reckon we need to test her blood or anything, no? No, no, I don’t think so… That’s it.

Lola: Silvia, they have taken dad to the lab, his gash opened again.
Silvia: Let me go get the suture kit.
Lola: I’m coming with you….
Silvia: Okay.

Pove, Salazar, and Homie are now out of the labyrinth. Allison and Filet Mignon are still guiding them from the El Kaiser rig. At the comisaria, Sara comes in asking after Lucas and Pove. Aitor was assigned to baby sit her.  Interpol guys are back to hound Paco.  Lucas, is still lying alone in the labyrinth; he pulls out the iron rod stuck in his chest and lets out a primal scream.  Hurts?  You think? He is all emo. Back at the precinct, Mariano is still fighting with his imaginary friend.  Paco gives Interpol guys a non-update on the prison mission.  Silvia is at the lab fixing DL's suture while Lola hovers around.

Lola: Shall we put some more Betadine [Translator's note: I don’t know if it’s that popular abroad, but it’s a well-known povidone-iodine brand], so it doesn’t get infected?
Silvia: Lola, get out of here, you’re blocking the light.
Lola: Why don’t you take an X-ray or a CT…? Maybe he’s got something internal… [Translator's note: I know it’s not really correct but Lola’s sentence sounds disarticulated and weird as well]
Silvia: Lola, you’re getting on my nerves and I’m holding a needle next to dad’s back of the head [Translator's reaction: Hahahaha! Lovely!]
Don Lorenzo: Okay, daughter, calm down. Lola, why don’t you let your sister work?
Lola: Of course, in this precinct, if I’m not kicked out of a room, I’m kicked out of the other. I’m gonna go see Sara.
Don Lorenzo: Lola, would you just hear me?
Lola: Bye, papi.

Don Lorenzo: Can you explain to me why are you treating your sister like that?
Silvia: Because I have too many things in my head. I just can’t understand how Gonzalo tested positive, really. I haven’t seen him have a beer since I've known him!
Don Lorenzo: When Gonzalo was in the US eight years ago he already had problems with alcohol… Serious problems…
Silvia: What?
Don Lorenzo: Yes, hija.
Silvia: Gonzalo was an alcoholic?

Don Lorenzo: He was… and he is. An alcoholic is always an alcoholic. Even if he doesn’t drink for a long time, he only needs one reason to order a second whisky. Unfortunately, Gonzalo had a reason.
Silvia: We have to take him to therapy or to a clinic or something then.
Don Lorenzo: Do you know what the best therapy is? Be with him all day, don’t leave him by himself, take him to the cinema, to the theater, to play the lottery if necessary… Whatever. I’m telling you because this is going to be a long process. [knock on the door] Come on in.

Paco: Excuse me.
Don Lorenzo: What the matter, Paco?
Paco: Don Lorenzo, do you have a minute?
Don Lorenzo: Yes, sure.

Paco stays behind at the lab to tell DL all that he's dealing with:  Rita is still upset, Mariano doesn't remember anything, interpol guys... DL gives him words of wisdom.  Meanwhile, Lucas, with a blood geyser on his chest, manages to get out of the labyrinth.  Huh?!!!

Mariano locks himself in the elevator to argue with his imaginary friend. Paco gets a voicemail from Pepa.

VoiceMail: You have one new message in your voice mail.
Pepa: Paco, what’s the matter? You are never gonna pick up the phone, no? How many years have gone by? Two, four, six, eight… Eight years since the last time we spoke. And now you phone me twice and you hang up on me. Mom was right, you’re a fucking sentimental. Well, if you need me, you know where I am. I promise not to hang up on you. A little kiss, brother. Ciao.

Sara and Aitor have a talk and they decide that they should be friends.  Paco, after getting it from the Interpol guys, has had enough and mobilizes his troop to do a recon of the jail's surrounding area within a 15-kilometer radius.

Silvia runs after Montoya to talk to him about his fondness for alcohol.
Silvia: Gonzalo, Gonzalo, Gonzalo… I was looking for you. How are you? I have just talked to my father and he told me everything. He told me…
Montoya: That your father told you what? Look, Silvia, your dad has a big mouth, and he has no fucking clue what he’s saying. All right, I took a few beers before the statement, just to relax, what’s wrong with that?
Silvia: Gonzalo… I know you think I am not the most adequate person to give out advice or to judge people, and that I am an unbalanced person who's incapable of loving or being loved, and you’re right. But it’s just that I’m so much better with everyone else’s problems, and I’m gonna take yours and deal with it [Translator's note: She says “cargármelo a la espalda”, literally “load it on my back”]. And I’m going to take you to rehab and I’m not gonna stop until you’re out of there, so we’re gonna help each other, all right? [Translator's Silvia adoration: I think this speech is priceless!]
Montoya: You know what, Silvia? I don’t need anybody’s help, let alone yours.

In a minor miracle, the Guardia Civil actually shows up to patrol the area and spooks the Kaiser rig.  Salazar, et. al., find a hidden trunk with guns, badges, costumes, etc.

(Really, how gorgeous is Silvia?)

Back at the precinct, the Interpol guys brief Paco on Salazar's involvement with El Kaiser, whose main preoccupation is to produce fake Euros.

Lucas is still going strong, despite probably having lost half of his body's blood inventory. Actually, he's hallucinating and sees Sara and they googly eye each other.  Dramatic music in the backgound.  Piper starts barfing.

Salazar, Pove, and Homie are now dressed as railway workers.  The Guardia Civil guys stop them and check their credentials as a precaution and possible connection to the prison riot.  Allison and Filet Mignon are listening to the police transmission.

At the comisaria, DL is brought down to the tombs.  Next to his jail cell is Uriarte, and they trade insults and my-penis-is-bigger-than-your-penis exchange.  Paco and Lola are talking about Mariano, who, as socially required in Spain, is listening in (with imaginary friend in tow).  After insulting Sara, Uriarte is the recipient of DL's choke hold until Paco and Lola come in to break the jail chiki-chiki.

Fillet Mignon and Allison are hacking into the police database while Guardia Civil guys are checking Pove and company's fake names and credentials.  They eventually clear out thanks to the hackers but a gun slips through Pove's neon jumpsuit.  Homie shoots one of the guards but the other one has a bigger gun and the escapees are now disarmed.

At the comisaria's break room, Sara is talking to her new BFF Aitor about her dreams of Lucas and then I don't really care.  Rita comforts a crying Sara.

Lucas saves Salazar, Homie, and Pove by kicking the cops unconscious, hoping this will ingratiate him into the gang.  But Psycho Homie isn't easily convinced and is about to kill Lucas when Pove shoots him.  At the comisaria, Paco and Lola  have the jail cells surveillance tape.  They watch it to see why DL went ballistic; sucks for Chipmunk but his admissions of guilt and giving false statement were also recorded.

Silvia is in the lab reviewing Ruth's file. She does her 360 degree eyeball roll to signify that she's thinking.

Montoya, with tears in his eyes, comes in.
Montoya: Help me. Help me. [Translator's smart ass comment: Now you want help, eh!]
Silvia: Of course. Don’t worry, everything’s gonna be all right [He leans in to kiss her, she pulls back] No, Gonzalo, we’ve already been there [Piper and Translator both clap hands: Well said, Silvia!!]

Salazar is impressed at Lucas and doesn't care a bit that his Homie is dead.  Lucas plays hard to get but goes with Salazar and Pove anyway.  Bye bye, dead homie.

It's now morning and MILF judge is reading her verdict at the Comisaria's briefing room, with what seems like all of San Antonio's police force in attendance. WTF?  Whatever happened to due process?

Judge: After the meticulous analysis of new evidence brought to this court by the defense, and recorded by the CCTV cameras of the precinct, and recorded in the investigation as Evidence 16B/14, I acquit [Captain Castro] according to Article 384 of the Ley de Enjuiciamiento Criminal, and I resolve to charge Mr Uriarte, Mr Saint De Molina, Mr García Rodero and Mr Malpartida with the offence of false testimony, categorized in our penal code in Article 458-2.
Everyone: Yes!!
Judge: In the homicide of Ruth Montabán, I resolve that there are not enough evidences to charge Captain Castro, therefore, according to what the Ley de Enjuiciamiento Criminal establishes, I proceed to change the status of Captain Castro from Defendant to Witness.
[Cheers]

Judge: And as a consequence, I order his immediate release from prison. Take off his handcuffs, please.
Portillo: Congratulations.
Don Lorenzo: Thanks very much.
Portillo: It’s been a pleasure.
Judge: Even so, and until the legal process is over, you won’t be allowed to leave the country without informing the pertinent court. I am sorry I put you through this hard time, Captain.
Don Lorenzo: You were only fulfilling your duty. Thanks very much, Honor.

MILF judge starts flirting with Portillo while DL shows that he is in charge by throwing orders at everyone.
Don Lorenzo: Well, stop being a dimwit [Translator's note: The word in Spanish is “ganso”, literally a “goose”. It is also a vintage DL line], all right? Let’s get back to work, boys. Two of our colleagues need us. Paco, can you update me, please?
Paco: They escaped prison through a hole in the bathroom. They went through the sewer system.
Don Lorenzo: Curtis, get a map of the sewer system. Take eight man and cover all the exits, alright?
Paco: They also killed a man, he was shot in the head. A corrections officer. Apparently, he was the one who took them to the bathroom.
Don Lorenzo: Quique, I want to know who that man is and how he was related to Salazar. Silvia, I want you in the Anatómico Forense performing the autopsy on him.
Silvia: All right.

DL tells Rita not to worry.  Paco goes to look for Mariano at the shooting gallery and finds him but Mariano wants to shoot him instead.  Paco talks about their friendship and Lola - blah blah blah - and Mariano shoots his imaginary friend Arturo (yes, he's got a name!) and this frees him from his demons.  Hugs, kisses, tears - you know the Paco drill. Can they throw us any more cliches? Really?

Pove is shaken that he has killed a man. The Kaiser rig picks them up and they make plans to have a jailbreaker reunion and Salazar gives them a mobile phone.  Then annoying scene with Sara and Lucas.  The End.

Piper's comments:
I am just glad that this episode is over because I'm getting tired of Silvia's pink sweater.  I also don't get how Lucas could have survived the night after having lost so much blood and still managed to kick ass. But then, a lot of things do not make sense in this show.  Lame, lame, lame episode.
